Join us for a presentation from the Mary Greeley Medical Center Board of Trustees Chair, Sarah Buck, on how to be an effective board member. Ames has a wide array of community, non-profit, and human service organizations that are governed by boards of directors. To be effective board members, individuals need to understand their legal duties and responsibilities and how boards should be organized. Sarah Buck will help participants understand those duties, strategy development, orientation and continuing education, succession planning, and more.
